VERMONT SURCHARGED 1809 DATED SPRINGFIELD US M1795 FLINTLOCK MUSKET. REDUCED!!!

.69 Caliber Smoothbore US Military Long Arm. Original Flintlock, not a re-conversion. 44 3/4 Inch barrel with smooth stone gray patina. Crisp proofs at left breech, "P/eagle/V" this is topped by a tiny "Vt" Vermont ownership stamp almost in the center of the barrel. Triangular condemnation strike right above the pan. Stone gray lock with clear Springfield and Eagle in center and "1809" to the rear of the hammer. Well used bore, fine mechanics. Iron bands, ramrod, side plate are all the same stone gray color but will mellow to a nice antique plum color over the years. Buttplate dated "1809" on the top. Musket is complete with original ram rod. Missing the sling swivels only. Fine oil finished stock with fairly clear "US" cartouche on the left flat. One of the oldest US Martial Long Arms I have carried. 200 Years old this year! Reduced in Price.
