VERY RARE US NAVY MODEL 1813 PERCUSSION CONVERSION PISTOL BY SIMEON NORTH

.69 Caliber Smoothbore US Navy Pistol. Converted to percussion by adition of a drum bolster and a flat 1840's period percussion hammer. 9 1/6 Inch round smoothbore barrel. Left barrel flat stamped "US/P". Fine steel gray lock with sharp eagle and North markings on barrel. Iron furniture is also a smooth iron gray patina. Very good oil finished stock with "ET" (Edward Trenchard) inspection stamp on the left flat. There is an unfilled hole on the left from the Naval Belt hook. Rare gun with only 1,000 delivered to the US Navy. This was the first US Arm that was guaranteed to be interchangable. Very Rare!
