.70 caliber with 48 inch octagon to round rifled barrel. Bladed front sight. Simple post rear sight set right above the frizzen. Five inch flint lock with serpentine hammer and roller frizen marked “Redfern” in center of lock. Handsome brass furniture with light decorative engraving. Silver escutcheon and wrist. Fine full length oil finished stock with double line moulding along barrel. Wooden ramrod with pewter cap which appears to be original. Very long and very handsome. Set up to look just like a period fowler but you'll be surprised by the heft. Circa 1790.
