BEAUTIFUL SILVER EAGLE HEAD AMERICAN SHORT SWORD OF THE REVOLUTION W/SCABBARD

32 1/2 Inches overall with a slightly curved 26 inch blade. Blade is mostly bright but has some dark, smooth age spots here and there. These are not pitted, just handsome patina. 3/8 inch wide fuller runs the full length of the blade and a narrower fuller runs along the top for about 3/4 of the blades length."S" Shaped silver guard features an open work flower petal outlined in silver drops. Fierce Eagle Head Pommel is often referred to as the "Baltimore" Eagle. The Eagle supports a reproduction chain from it's beak to the quillion as the original is long missing. To me the rarest part of this sword is the original black, hand tooled scabbard with silver mounts at the throat and center. The silver drag is missing but certainly could be reproduced from the remaining two mounts. Very fine American Military Sword from our First War.
