This is a British, WWI, Smith and Wesson 2nd Model Hand Ejector. It is chambered for the .455 Eley Cartridge. These pistols were ordered by the British army in 1916. They procured 69,754 of them with 15,000 of them going to Canada. This gun is marked "RYL. ENGRS." on the butt. This pistol is fine to very fine with about 90-95% of it's original blued finish. There is some light holster wear on the high points of the revolver. The bore, chambers, and mechanics are excellent. The grips are very good with just a few small dings. The revolver is profusely marked with proof marks, inspection marks, and the Broad Arrow. A very nice, British WWI revolver.
