This is a Colt Officer's Model Target Revolver chambered in .38 Special. This is third issue revolver that was manufactured by Colt in 1937. It has a 6" heavy barrel, flat top strap, and adjustable front and rear sights. This revolver is in very fine condition, retaining about 90% of its original factory blued finish. There is wear on the sides of the barrel, the front edge of the cylinder, and the high points of the frame. The bore, chambers, and mechanics are all excellent. The checkered walnut grips have no chips or damage, but show a little light wear on the checkering. The front sight has a red insert that looks like plastic and was probably added later. This is a great example of the Officer's Model Target.
