This is an original, WWI Colt U.S. Model 1911 .45 Caliber service pistol manufactured in 1917. It is in very good to fine condition with about 70% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is some finish loss on the slide from being stored in a holster, as well as some holster wear at the muzzle and front of the frame. The grip straps are beginning to turn brown. The pistol has excellent mechanics and a fine bore. The grips show a little wear, especially at the butts. There are a few small dings from use. One original 2-tone magazine is included. This is a nice, correct, untouched World War I Colt 1911. Stock no. 20980
