Item :	BEAUTIFUL, PERUVIAN MODEL 1909 MAUSER RIFLE W/ BAYONET

Description :

This is an original, Peruvian Model 1909 Mauser Rifle chambered for the 6.5x53mm cartridge. Included is an original bayonet and scabbard, sling, and a front sight / muzzle protector. This rifle is in excellent, near new condition. It is all matching, including the stock, with numerous Peruvian acceptance stamps. The rifle retains more than 99% of its factory blued finish. There is a tiny speck of corrosion on the barrel, midway between the front band and the nose cap. The receiver, bolt, and butt plate are finished factory bright. There are several small streaks of corrosion on the heel of the butt, but the remainder of the metal remains polished bright. The full Peruvian Crest remains on the receiver ring. The bore is mint and shiny. The mechanics are excellent. The stock is excellent, as well, with just a couple of very tiny dings from handling. There is a crisp Mauser Banner marking on the the right side of the butt. The original leather sling is in excellent condition, near new, and remains flexible. The hinged muzzle cover is perfect. The scarce Model 1909 bayonet is very fine. The bayonet number matches the scabbard. The bayonet was made by Simson & Co. of Suhl anmd is so marked on the right ricasso. There is a Peruvian crest stamped on the pommel. The bayonet remains factory bright with just a couple of specks of corrosion at the tip of the blade on either side. This rifle is in beautiful condition. You will be hard pressed to ever find a better example. Stock no. 21130
