SPRINGFIELD U.S. M-1 GARAND RIFLE
Description :
This is an original, WWII, Springfield U.S. M-1 Garand Rifle produced in about April of 1943. It has undergone arsenal rebuild and has a mixture of parts, including an "IHC" trigger housing. Surprisingly the original "SA" operating rod is uncut. The rifle is in fine condition with about 90% of its armory parkerized finish remaining. There is considerable wear on the buttplate and the gas port cylinder has very little finish remaining. Early gas port housings were notorious for not retaining their finish. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The Springfield made barrel is dated "6-44" and gauges "1" at the muzzle and "1" at the throat. The stock has been lightly sanded and finished with a satin sheen. There are no markings remaining on the stock. Included is a late, military, OD green M-1 web sling. Stock no. 21345
