CONNECTICUT ARMS SINGLE SHOT "BULLDOG" DERINGER
Description :
Here is an original, Hammond Patent Single Shot Deringer manufactured by the Connecticut Arms and Manufacturing Company of Naubuc, Connecticut. Known as the "Bulldog", these .44 caliber rimfire revolvers were manufactured from 1866 into the late 1880's. About 8,000 were produced. This unusual design features a breech block that pivots to the left for loading. This pistol is in beautiful condition, rating very fine to excellent. The 4" octagonal barrel retains more than 95% of its original factory blued finish. The frame has almost 100% of its original case colors. The case colors on the belly of the breech block are turning gray. The bore and mechanics are both excellent. The grips, with a brownish tone, are either hard rubber or gutta-percha. They are in perfect condition. This is a superb example of a scarce American Pocket Pistol. Stock no. 22311
