STOEGER / UBERTI 1866 WINCHESTER SPORTING RIFLE

Here is a fine replica of the Winchester Model 1866 Sporting Rifle made by Aldo Uberti & Co. of Italy and chambered for the .45 Long Colt cartridge. This rifle was imported and sold by Stoeger Industries of Accokeek, Maryland. It has a 24 1/2" barrel and a crescent buttplate. This rifle is in very fine condition. It retains nearly 100% of its factory blued finish on the barrel and magazine tube. The hammer and lever retain nearly all of their case colors. The brass receiver is developing a darker patina over much of its surface. It actually tones the brass down a bit and gives it a more muted appearance. The mechanism works perfectly. The bore is excellent, bright, and shiny. The stock is very fine with a heavy gloss finish. The rifle has the Stoeger and Uberti names on the top barrel flat. Stock no. 22895
