SMITH & WESSON .44 HAND EJECTOR 2ND MODEL REVOLVER

This is an original, 2nd Model Smith & Wesson .44 Hand Ejector manufactured in 1927. It is in the standard .44 S&W Special chambering. These were produced from 1915-1940. This revolver has a 6 1/2" barrel and is fitted with checkered walnut grips with the S&W monogram inlays. The revolver is in fine condition. It retains more than 95% of its factory blued finish. There is a little finish wear at the muzzle, on the high points of the frame, and the front edge of the cylinder. The mechanics, bore, and chambers are all excellent. The grips have very nice figure and are in fine condition. There are just a couple of very tiny dings from use. The revolver comes with a factory letter showing that it was shipped to Belknap Hardware Company of Louisville Ky. in 1927. It also shows the gun was originally shipped with non-medallion grips, so at some point the owner upgraded! This is a great example of the .44 Hand Ejector. Stock no. 23031
