Item :	EXCELLENT, CORRECT WWII, INLAND U.S. M-1 CARBINE

Description :

This is an original, WWII U.S M-1 Carbine manufactured by the Inland Division of General Motors. It is from the 2nd block of production, probably made in late December of 1943. The Inland barrel is dated "11-43". This carbine is all correct, as-built and has never undergone an arsenal rebuild. The gun is in excellent condition with more than 98% of its factory parkerized finish remaining. There is a little wear on the butt plate. The bore and mechanics are excellent. It has a flat top, blued bolt, short, plain faced magazine catch, and unmarked push button safety. It has the Type III wide joint slide and the Type I flip sight marked "S". The trigger housing has the vertical Inland logo. The stock is in very fine condition. It is a high wood stock. There is the correct crossed cannon cartouche on the right side of the butt. The "P" firing proof on the grip cap is a light double strike. The stock is stamped "IO" in the sling cut. The handguard is the correct Type II with two rivets. It is marked "IO" on the underside. There are a few light scratches on the right side of the butt. The oiler is correctly marked "IS". The carbine is fitted with a wartime olive drab sling. It is the later dark shade of OD. It is in very fine condition. Also included is an early, flat bottom magazine marked "IA". This is a beautiful, untouched WWII carbine. Stock no. 23273
