This is an original, U.S. M-1 Garand Rifle manufactured by Harrington & Richardson Arms Company in the second half of 1954. It is chambered for the .30-06 Government cartridge. This rifle has probably undergone one armory rebuild. It retains most of it's H&R parts, including the bolt, barrel, and trigger housing, but the operating rod is a Springfield Armory replacement. The stock is also a military replacement. The rifle is in very fine condition retaining more than 90% of its original factory parkerized finish. There is some light finish wear on the high points of the receiver, trigger guard, and on the barrel. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The bore gauges "2" at the muzzle and "1" at the throat. The stock is very fine. It has an arsenal inspection or rework "P" firing proof without a circle. The stock is fitted with a military rubber recoil boot of the type used with the grenade launcher. Miraculously, the boot is on the stock without having split and is in very fine condition. This is a good looking Garand in nice condition. It should shoot well. Stock no. 23300
