This is a Pre-war Colt Official Police revolver manufactured in 1938 and chambered for the .38 special cartridge. It is fitted with a 6" heavy barrel. These were manufactured from 1927-1946. This revolver is in very fine to excellent condition with more than 98% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is very light finish wear on the front edges of the frame and cylinder. The bore, chambers, and mechanics are excellent. The checkered walnut grips are very fine as well. There are a couple of very tiny dings on the edge of the butt on the left side. This is a superb, pre-war Colt. Stock no. 23428
