Item :	1931 COLT OFFICER'S MODEL TARGET .22 REVOLVER, IOB

Description :

Here is an original Colt Officer's Model Target (Third Issue) Revolver manufactured in 1931 and chambered for the .22 LR cartridge. These were oriduced from 1927-1949. The .22LR chambering was introduced in 1930, making this an early production example. The revolver is in very fine to excellent condition with more than 98% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is a very light hint of wear at the muzzle on either side, the front edge of the cylinder, and a couple of very tiny blemishes on the crane and frame where they join on the left side of the revolver. There is a tiny ding on the hump of the back strap. The bore, chambers, and mechanics are excellent. The checkered walnut grips are also in excellent condition, with no chips cracks, or dings. The revolver is in its original box with the instruction sheet. The box is in poor condition with torn corners and some edges of the hinged lid missing. The label is intact. This is a superb, early example of the Colt Officer's Model Target Revolver. Stock no. 23430
