CUSTOM REMINGTON MODEL 40-X BENCHREST RIFLE W/ 16X REDFIELD TARGET SCOPE, .223 REM.

This is a Custom Remington Model 40-X Benchrest Rifle. It has been fitted with a 27" custom heavy stainless steel barrel chambered for the .223 Remington cartridge. While the rifle has a right handed action, it is fitted in a custom Bishop left hand thumb hole target stock. The rifle is also fitted with a 16X Redfield target scope. This rifle is in very fine condition. The barrel remains bright and the blued parts of the gun retain nearly all of their finish. There is a little browning of the bolt knob. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is in excellent condition as well with a nice oiled finish. The scope is in very fine condition with clear optics. It features ultra fine crosshairs with a tiny center dot. The barrel is drilled ands tapped near the muzzle for a forward scope mount or a front sight. This rifle should be a tack driver.
