Item No.: 10759 Price : $595.00
Item : WWII ITALIAN MODEL 1935 BERETTA PISTOL, ITALIAN NAVY MARKING, .32 ACP
Description :
This is an Italian Model 1935 Pistol manufactured by Beretta in 1944 under German occupation. The Model 1935 is basically the Model 1934 modified to fire the .32 ACP (7.65mm Browning) cartridge. It was designed and built for Italian Armed Forces. Large numbers were issued to German troops in 1944 and 1945. It is a single-action semi-automatic with a 3" barrel. This pistol has a marking indicating it was part of a specific navel contract. There is an oval with a Crown and the letter "S" stamped on the left side of the frame behind the grip panel. The "S" is for Scordia, marking this as a pistol officially proof tested and accepted by the Italian Navy or Regia Marina. This pistol is in very good condition with about 50% of its wartime factory blued finish remaining. There is even overall wear consistent with carry in the field. The wear is heaviest on the grip straps and exposed edges of the gun. There are a few tiny rust speckles on the gun. The mechanics work well, but the magazine follower does not hold the slide back securely when empty. With the slide back, pushing on it with your thumb will cause it to fall. This generally indicates that the magazine follower is worn. The bore is in very fine condition. The black plastic grips are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There are some dings and scratches from use. The M1935 is a great little pistol and this is Navy one! Stock no. 32600
