VERY FINE, INLAND DIVISION U.S. M1 CARBINE, .30 CALIBER

This is an original, U.S. M1 Carbine manufactured by The Inland Division of General Motors in 1943. It is chambered for the .30 caliber carbine cartridge. This carbine is in very fine condition. It has been arsenal upgraded with an adjustable rear sight and a bayonet mount. Those appear to be the only changes. The carbine retains it original Inland barrel dated "4-43". The stock is the original Inland Overton high wood stock with a large cartouche on the right side of the butt. There is a "P" firing proof on the butt of the grip. The handguard is a 2-rivet type. It is marked "I O" in the sling well. The gun retains more than 95% of its parkerized finish with some wear on the butt plate. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is very fine with just a few small dents from use or storage. Included is one original Inland Magazine and a sling in very good condition. This is a very nice example of the M1 carbine with some great early parts. Stock no. 32605
