This is a Remington Improved Model 6 Falling Block Rifle chambered for the .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle cartridges. While the original No.6 was made starting in 1901, the Improved Models were made from 1920 to 1933. This is a boy's rifle with small dimensions, a takedown action, and a 24" barrel. This rifle is in fine condition. It retains about 80% of its factory blued finish. The barrel has a significant number of scratches and scrapes in the blued finish. The hammer and block retain nearly all of their cased color. The bore is excellent. The stock is very fine with a few small dings and scratches from use. These are generally used hard and worn out.
