WINCHESTER MODEL 65 LEVER ACTION RIFLE, .218 BEE

Description :

|
This is an original, Model 65 Winchester Lever Action Rifle manufactured in the late 1930's and chambered for the .218 Bee cartridge. Winchester made these from 1933 to 1947. Based on the Model 1892 receiver, it has a 24" round barrel and a half-magazine tube that holds 7 cartridges. This rifle has been fitted with a period telescopic sight with a side mount. The hammer has been modified to allow use with the scope. This rifle is in fine condition with about 80% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is light overall wear consistent with use, mostly on the high edges. There is heavier wear on the lever and toward the muzzle of the barrel. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is very fine with just a tiny ding or two from use. The scope is in very fine condition with clear optics. It is completely unmarked, so I have no idea who made it. This is a nice example of the Model 65 in the desirable .218 Bee chambering. Stock no. 32998
