.58 Caliber Percussion US Military Long Arm. Dated 1864 on lock and top barrel flat. Excellent condition, near mint with only some tarnish on the barrel. Mint bore and mechanics. Rear sight retains 90% plus original blue. Crisp proofs, date and "steel" mark on barrel flat. Sharp Eagle on bolster flat and sharp Colt markings on lock. Excellent iron furniture with original sling swivels and ram rod. Beautiful oil fiinished stock with two perfect Federal Inspectors Cartouches at the left flat. Stock has the wonderful "feathery" unhandled grain. With a light hand cleaning on the barrel this Rifle Musket would be a show stopper!
