.54 Caliber Percussion US Military Long Arm. "1851" Dated on lock and tang. Harpers Ferry Type III Conversion with the M-1855 front sight blade, Long Base Long Range Rear Sight and Bayonet lug at right on the barrel. Pure Harpers Ferry with the lock, barrel and stock all retaining the correct Harpers Ferry Markings. Barrel and lock are a steel color that is fading to a pleasing dove gray. Golden brass furniture at patchbox, trigger guard, buttplate and bands. Original sling swivels, Type II ramrod. Excellent .54 Caliber bore and perfect mechanics. Crisp markings. Excellent oil finished stock with crisp "JLB" final inspection stamps on the left flat. so many of these are mixed parts it's nice to find a complete Harpers Ferry.
