.32 Caliber single Action Whitney Percussion Revolver. Three Inch octagon barrel made without loading lever. Pinched top strap looks very modern on this old design. Cylinder is held by a brass mushroom shaped cylinder pin. Frame and trigger guard are streamlined and the whole outline of the piece is that of a small SA Army Colt. Handsome two piece hardwood grips. I think this one of the last of Whitney's percussion pistols, verging on his jump to cartridge guns.
